NSFW / SFW in OFM
Definition
NSFW (Not Safe For Work) and SFW (Safe For Work) are labels that classify content by how explicit it is. SFW content can be shown publicly without risk (social media, general Reddit). NSFW content is reserved for platforms that allow it (OnlyFans, MYM, NSFW subreddits). This distinction is crucial in OFM because posting NSFW in the wrong place leads to bans.
Concrete example
A model posts SFW content on Instagram (lifestyle photos, suggestive dressed selfies) to attract traffic. NSFW content (lingerie, nude, explicit) is reserved exclusively for OnlyFans and mass PPV messages. On Reddit, subreddits are clearly tagged NSFW or SFW.
Best practices
Strictly separate SFW and NSFW content in the vault. Never post NSFW on platforms that forbid it (Instagram, TikTok). Use SFW content as a teaser to drive traffic to NSFW platforms.
Common mistakes
Posting NSFW content on Instagram "because it's not that explicit". Instagram has zero tolerance: even suggestive content can trigger a ban.
